Baby Center says:

"By this week, your baby weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of his head to his heels. He can blink his eyes, which now sport lashes. With his eyesight developing, he may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. He's also developing billions of neurons in his brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world."

First of all, what the heck is a Chinese cabbage?

Ok...so that "adding more body fat" I definitely believe as my belly has suddenly become the target for rubbing which then results in comments like, "Wow, that baby is really....out there!"

Um...thanks?

This week's fabulous news is that I passed my glucose tolerence test so I'm gestational diabetes free for a bit longer. I have to go back and do the test again in a few weeks. If you remember, that's when I failed with Dax.

What I did not pass is my iron level. I'm anemic. So now I'm taking an additional iron supplement and making "oh, poor me" eyes at Cat so he'll barbeque me a steak. The funny thing is that steak didn't really sound all that good to me until I woke up this morning and now it is all I can think about.

My next appointment is Tuesday and Dax is going to go with me so he can hear his baby brother's heartbeat. I think he'll really enjoy that.

Hooray again on passing the test! Woo!

I think it's awesome you're bringing big brother to hear the heartbeat. It's such a reassuring sound. :)
