Baby Gaga says...
"This week he weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head is getting bigger to accommodate his growing brain which is busy developing billions of neurons. Every day, about 200 milligrams of calcium is deposited in your baby's skeleton, which is now hardening. With this rapid growth, it's no surprise that your baby's nutritional needs reach their peak during this trimester."
Hmmm. That might explain why I've been craving cheese and milk. Mmmmm......milk.
I had my appointment on Tuesday and Dax came with me. He got to hear his baby brother's heartbeat and it freaked him right on out of his tiny skull. Makes sense, I s'pose, since he has no idea what a "heartbeat" is so it just seemed like the room suddenly filled with an odd noise, the source of which he could not identify. He also got to see his brother with the small ultrasound machine. I really don't think he "got it" at all but he sure did love showing off for Marion.
I have to repeat my glucose test on 12/6 and then I'll see Marion again on the 11th. After that my appointments will start taking place every couple of weeks instead of once a month.
This pregnancy is just flying by!
