First and Ten
Devin just wrapped up his first month of life and he has many accomplishments to show for it. Like....um....well, ok, you don't accomplish so much when you are only a month old.
His biggest talent thus far is clearly eating and the boy has the scale to back up that boast. I weighed him on Friday and he was up to 10 pounds, 7 ounces.

Behold the chunk!
I think we are also starting to see the first social smiles but they are still a bit few and far between. My mom is going to be visiting next week and I'm hoping he'll flash some gummy grins while she's here.
Devin also got some more fabulous gifts last week. Sean and Johannah sent him the coolest rattle. It's an official US House of Representatives pewter rattle. Aunt Carol and Uncle David sent an adorable little giraffe onesie and the softest, cuddliest toy giraffe to go with it. Added bonus? Dax is very fond of giraffes (and robots) at the moment so he's thinking Devin is pretty cool.
As for me? Well, my broken toe still hurts. This very likely could be because Dax keeps stomping on it. I'm also convinced that my brain will never function at full capacity again. Case in point: This morning I located an entire bag of Dax's old 0-3 month clothes that I forgot we even had. Good thing, too, because Devin was about to have to start going naked in between laundry loads.
