18 weeks

Bounce! from Michelle Madayag on Vimeo.

To celebrate Devin's 18-week anniversary I bought myself a new video camera. Now I can stalk both my children even more successfully because, you know, 8 billion still photos just aren't enough.

So you can see Devin is getting so big and he's found his voice and he's training for the Olympic Jumparoo team. Shhhh! Don't tell him it doesn't exist.

I think he's teething. Why? Well, there's the incessant drooling, the acute grumpitis, the constant need to have something crammed into his mouth so he can gnaw on it. Oh! And the little white dot I can see on his bottom gum and the fact that I've slept in a chair for most of the past couple of nights because I can only manage to get him to sleep in short, fitful bursts while snuggled up on my chest. So, yeah. I suspect a tooth is behind all this fun.

He's got his four month appointment on Thursday. I predict he's at least in the 90th percentile for both height and weight. We'll see!

Greetings from Slackerville

Hi! Remember me? I'm the mom who is totally slacking on her sons' online journals? Yeah! That's me! Sorry about that, by the way.

Ok....so here we are already at month four. I know! That's crazy, isn't it? At four months Devin has discovered his hands and feet, can grab onto toys (and faces, and hair, and the giant cup of Crystal Lite mommy is drinking), and breaks into awkward and hilarious laughter that you can't help but join in on.

My parents were out here visiting and it was Devin's first introduction to his Poppa. Needless to say, the grandparents are a huge hit with both boys.

Devin was also baptized last weekend. It was just Devin and one other kid so it was almost like having a private ceremony. Janice once again did us the honor of being Godmother and Derek (Uncle Duck) stepped up to be Godfather. Maryann (Tia), Caren, and Dax were also there to celebrate with us. I wish my parents and Cat's mom would have been able to join us but they were definitely there in our hearts.

So I'm in the process of uploading about a kajillion pictures to Snapfish including my parents' visit, the baptism, Dax's first tennis lesson and first dental appointment....and more and more and more. I started doing this a few days ago, I did you not. I am hopeful I'll have it done sometime today.

Yeah. We'll see.
