Not the baby

The boys have been staying with their teacher from My School, Miss Sharon, for the past week while the school makes a location change.

Sharon calls Devin "Mr. Chuckles" because sometimes he'll do just that. For no apparent reason, he'll just smile and laugh. He's just a happy, mellow, little dude.

It's hard to believe, but Devin is 11 months old now. I'm starting to think about what we might do for his birthday and what sort of cake we'll be asking Auntie Caren to make. I was also starting to wonder what I was going to do about the fact that sometimes when I look at him I find myself wanting another baby but then we got the wonderful news on Thursday (December 18th, also my dad's birthday) that Cat's sister had HER baby.

So Devin's not the baby anymore. In more ways than one.

Baby Steps

Devin likes to stand. Just stand. Sometimes he does a little dance. And sometimes? Sometimes he'll even take a few little Frankenbaby steps.

He is almost exactly the same age Dax was when he started walking. Devin seems to be less driven about the whole task. Walking? Eh. He can take it or leave it. Until Cat found one of Dax's old walking toys and brought it out tonight. Walking is a lot more fun when you have something with wheels to push.
