My son, the germ
I guess the Roseola was just the prequel of the Horrible Ailments that would soon be visited upon our home.
Immediately after the Roseola, Dax caught a cold. Then he got an eye infection. Then I caught his cold. And can I just say that there is NOTHING worse than a cold caught from a very small child. For some reason, germs caught from a very small child are particularly potent. Surprising, isn't it?
So on Thursday night I was laying in bed, hacking and wheezing and semi-sleeping when I heard Cat shouting for me from Dax's room. The shouting was due to the puking.
That's right. Puking.
Do you know what is even more surprising than the strength of germs caught from a very small child? The amount of vomit that a very small child can produce.
The cherry on this delightful sundae is that I now have the eye infection as well. Please everyone cross your fingers and say a little prayer that neither Cat nor I come down with that stomach virus.
There is good news to report. We found a new daycare for Dax. He will be starting there on October 3rd (baring any additional illnesses). His new teacher is this adorable little bundle of energy who so clearly loves children. Her husband is a teacher, too.
Dax is quite fond of both of them and Cat was immediately comfortable with them as well. I'd say that's a pretty good indicator as both of them are fairly finicky about the people they want to spend time with.

Do you really believe there is a prayer that you and/or Cat won't both start "pucking" any day now? You can always pack up Dax and send him to Nanna:)
