Words and Wiggles

I read today that, at this time, Dax should have a vocabulary of anywhere between ten and fifty words. So Cat and I decided we'd make a list of the words he knows to see where he's at.

At 130 words, we stopped.

We've been told by both his doctor and his teachers that he's "a bit ahead" with his vocabulary. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the fabulous preschool/daycare we have him enrolled in and the fact that we read to him A LOT.

Now if only we could get him to stop calling stop signs "apples".

One of the words that Dax knows very well is "Wiggles". That would be his favorite television show. He asks for it by name and throws in a charming little wiggly move just so you are absolutely sure of what he wants.

Next week? We're going to be taking him to a LIVE Wiggles show. Cat and I are so excited; we're like two five-year-olds on Christmas Eve. I can't wait to see how Dax reacts. I also can't wait to see Cat grooving to his favorite song, "Fruit Salad".

Speaking of Fruit Salad (see how I effortlessly segue between completely unrelated topics?)......

Dax's daycare is having an Easter potluck and egg hunt tomorrow. Am I alone in thinking that watching four kids under the age of two try to figure out how an Easter egg hunt works will be hilarious? No? And how many of you are wondering, as I am, how long it will take for a baby brawl to break out once they figure out there is CANDY in those eggs?

Wish us luck.
