This is Ice Lakes Lodge in Soda Springs (A.K.A: Heaven on earth). This is where we got to spend a leisurely, relaxing, and fun weekend thanks to Dax's former teacher, Andi.

Ahhhhhh.
Did I mention that it was FREE? Yes. Andi so loves Dax that she hooked us up with the Super Secret Ninja special (otherwise known as the bribe-the-parents-to-spend-time-with-the-kid plan and we did not pay for a thing while we were there.
Not only was the place gorgeous, the food was incredible. And I'm not just sucking up to Andi who is a cook there. It was delicious. We also got to sample all their desserts and I'm telling you that the cheesecake should be illegal.
Just in case you aren't fully grasping the level of relaxation we enjoyed, here's another shot.

And if that were not enough, she also provided free babysitting so that Cat and I could go to the game room and play air hockey and ping pong and foosball. I would love to spend some time here boasting about how badly I beat Cat at all of those games but I don't want to humiliate him.
Ok. He trounced me. Whatever.
Last weekend was the first time in....oh....months that I was able to fully relax and unwind. My shoulders are normally located directly below my ears because of all the tension I've been carrying around. But here? My shoulders were exactly where shoulders should be and I didn't think about work the entire time we were there.
I can't wait to go back.
