Happy, happy birthday baby!
Cat just reminded me that two years ago at this time he was walking into my hospital room to find that the epidural was in place and I was feeling no pain. In fact, I was feeling nothing at all from the waist down. Medical science is an awesome thing.
I can't believe I'm the mother of a two-year-old. Lots of pictures and a sappy entry coming soon but right now we've got presents to open. In the meantime, here he is NOT eating cake at his birthday party this weekend.
(And no, I'm not kidding about the cake. Wouldn't even taste it. Wouldn't even look at the ice cream. Had we lost sight of him for even a moment in the hospital I might now be wondering if this was really my kid.)
