Getting closer
For awhile now Dax has been "going pee pee and poo poo on the potty". I have to put it in parentheses because what he really does is SAY he's going pee pee or poo poo but he's just sitting on the pot with his diaper still on while he flushes a small forest's worth of toilet paper away.
Very recently he has learned to take off and put on his own pants. He is also able to remove his own diaper. So I wasn't entirely surprised today when I walked into the bathroom a mere 30 seconds or so after he did and found him like this.
He usually uses that little step stool to reach the sink to wash his hands but he very cleverly figured out that he could use it to climb up on the potty. I was impressed with him for figuring all of this out.
Now if only my clever little man would figure out that the potty is for more than just toilet paper before the EPA comes after us.

Unrolling toilet paper is the best part of pee pee and poo poo - even for grown ups!. Next up: emptying an entire can of shaving gel into the sink and smooshing it around with little hands!
