Morning Grooming Rituals

A few weeks ago I happened to be home while Cat was getting Dax ready for school and that's when I first bore witness to an interesting (read: hilarious) morning grooming ritual they have.

Cat has been wetting down Dax's unruly hair and combing it so that he looks very like Alfalfa from The Little Rascals.

Seriously. The only difference is that the part is off to the side. He even gets that bizarre sticky-up part in the back because of his cowlick.

On Friday Dax decided to do some of his own grooming so I did what any loving mommy would do; I followed him and took pictures so I could post them on his website.

He begins by scooping handfuls of water onto his wee head with those chubby little mitts of his. Then he goes at it with his little brush. The result is adorable. And, um, damp.

Without daddy, he doesn't get that fantastic part but he has a nice combover effect going, doesn't he? And after it dried a bit that cowlick sprung right up.
