I've heard people say that little boys, they like to get messy. Those people had not met my little boy.
Dax is not big on messy. He will frequently stop in the middle of a meal and request (loudly), "CLEAN ME!" God forbid he drop any food on the floor because he will then be obsessed until you "CLEAN IT!" Not that long ago I had a talk with Miss Cindi at his school about how Dax didn't participate in some art projects and activities that might require him to touch things that felt sorta icky to him. Since then, we've been working with him to get him to be a bit less uptight about getting messy.
I thought we'd had a huge success the other day when he and I were painting and he started to decorate his face and feet and hands while giggling with delight.

But it was nothing compared to what happened yesterday.

Yes, that IS a picture of Dax with a handful of worms. WORMS! Slimy critters that he used to be sort of afraid of but that he now finds quite entertaining. (Thanks to Miss Cindi for sharing the picture with me.)
Yep. We're definitely making progress.
I am TOTALLY sending Mason to your place for some "messy" lessons. He's not a big fan of "sticky!" or "dirty!" or "ewwwww!". GO DAX!
