Catching up
The boys' blogs have been down for a looooong time but Cat has them up and working again so let's try to catch up a bit, shall we?
Seriously. When I say a LOOOOONG time, I mean it. Dax was turning five. He's about to turn twenty-seven. Crazy, right? Ok, find. He's coming up on seven but the time, she flies, and sometimes he seems like he's twenty-seven.
Dax is still attending BCS and will be starting second grade on the 22nd. When I asked him what he is most excited about learning in second grade he told me he wants to learn about all the presidents. I have no idea if that's in the curriculum or not but, rest assured, I will make sure he gets to do that one way or another.
He finally lost his first tooth a few weeks ago. It was pretty cool because he let me yank it out. It was so lose that it came out quite easily. The tooth fairy brought him $20, flossers, toothpaste, and a new toothbrush (a black and red one with guitars on it).
He's staying very active. He's still in karate and he's taking swimming lessons and playing tennis. He seems to love it all. I love that it keeps him fit. The kid has tiny washboard abs. I envy them.
Dax continues to entertain us on a near daily basis with the words that come out of his mouth. He still says some words incorrectly which is adorable (like congraduated rather than graduated) but he also peppers his speech with large words he uses appropriately which still makes me giggle a bit. I won't be surprised if he ever asks me for a "word-a-day" dictionary. I hope he retains his love of words as he grows older.
